The Herringbone 2 Stitch

Start with a needle on a thread.
Tie a sloppy knot at the end so your beads won’t slide off. |
(Pic 1) Put 4 beads on a thread. The beads are
numbered here to help you locate which bead to connect to.
(Pic 2) Go down through the first to beads (1 and 2). Go up through the
last two beads (3 and 4).
(Pic 3) Add 2 beads. Go up through the (3 and 4) beads.
Go down through the last two beads just added (5 and 6) beads. |

Go up through the last two beads just added (7 and 8) beads.
(Pic 5) Add 2 beads. Go up through the (7 and 8) beads.
Go down through the last two beads just added (9 and 10) beads.

(Pic 6) Add 2 beads. Go down through the (9 and 10) beads.
Go up through the last two beads just added (11 and 12) beads.

(Pic 8) Go down through the # 9 bead. Then up through the # 8
bead.

(Pic 10) Go down through the # 5 bead. Then up through the # 4
bead.

(Pic 14) With the two threads that are now next to each other,
tie a
square knot.
(Pic 15) Add 4 beads.
(Pic 16) Go down through the (22 and 19) beads.
